Un Rojo se forma en el 2002 cuando Jaguar y Luisk, motivados por su fuerte afinidad musical en común, comienzan componer música inspirada en el viejo sonido del reggae rockers.

En el año 2005, la banda lanza su primer álbum en conjunto con el cantante Salomón “Jah is a rasta”, con el cual la banda empieza a darse a conocer.

Para el año 2007, la banda comenzó a sufrir una serie de cambios, la salida del cantante Salomón y el baterista Jeffrey Vargas, llevaron a una renovación total del proyecto, que, sumado a las nuevas influencias, han llevado al resultado de la interesante mezcla de la voz de Jaguar y las voces femininas de los coros, la fuerza del bajo, el skank del piano, el sonido rocker en la batería, el burbujeo del órgano hammond y los coros con influencias del rythm & blues, terminan de definir el sonido fresco y rebelde de la banda.
