EYES ON THE STREET- Crime Prevention In Your Neighborhood
CACOBA, Fuerza Publica and O.I.J are proud to announce EYES ON THE STREET, a crime prevention, patrol and community safety program.
Please join us February 15th at 10am at the Marino Ballena conference room in Uvita for a formal introduction, the opportunity to sign up your street and ask questions.
EYES ON THE STREET has three components:
1. PARKING: Vehicle monitoring and registration in selected parking lots and areas of interest using a custom-built mobile application by Geoporter.
2. PATROLS: Vehicle, motorcycle and bicycle patrols in neighborhoods with high incidents of theft and crime. Performed by our partners Los Cauceles and resident volunteers, patrollers are trained to report and register suspicious activity, vehicles and incidents using a custom mobile application.
3. PUBLIC: Mobile reporting on your phone for all incidents, suspicious activity and vehicles. Available free to all residents, visitors and guests through the use of a free mobile application.
Please note: EYES ON THE STREET is community supported crime prevention that interfaces with police and private security services. It is not direct response.
The initial test period for EYES ON THE STREET is February 17- March 3, a week before to a week after Envision. We will then do an assessment to determine the considerations for an on-going schedule.

OJOS EN LA CALLE- Prevención de Crime en su Vecindario
CACOBA y la Fuerza Publica están orgullosos de anunciar el programa OJOS EN LA CALLE, un programa enfocado en zonas de alto riesgo en su vecindario.
Por favor acompañemos el 15 de Febrero a las 10am en la sala de conferencias del Restaurante Marino Ballena para recibir una introducción formal, integrar su calle al proyecto y realizar las preguntas necesarias.
OJOS EN LA CALLE tiene tres componentes:
1. PARQUEO: Monitoreo de vehículos y registro en los parqueos y áreas de interés usando la aplicación creada por Geoporter.
2. PATRULLAS: Patrulleos en carros, motocicletas, bicicletas y a pie, en vecindarios de altos incidentes de robo y crimen. Los recorridos serán realizados por nuestros compañeros Los Cauceles y residentes voluntarios, los patrulleros son entrenados para reportar y registrar toda actividad sospechosa, vehículos o incidentes usando la aplicación creada para celulares.
3. PUBLICO: Reportes desde su teléfono celular todos los incidentes, actividades sospechosas y vehículos. La aplicación para celular es disponible de forma gratuita para todos los residentes, visitantes y huéspedes.
Favor tomar en cuenta: OJOS EN LA CALLE no es un proyecto de respuesta directa, es un esfuerzo de la comunidad con la policía y seguridad privada enfocándose en prevención.
El periodo inicial de prueba para OJOS EN LA CALLE es del 17 de Febrero al 3 de Marzo, una semana antes y después de Envision. Luego se evaluara las consideraciones para un futuro horario.
